Central Coast Bulletin #21 March 26, 2017: The Proud Canadian worked through the Kildidt Sound area, before heading through Nalau Passage, Kwakshua Channel, and into the Fairmile Passage area. They will be remaining in Area 8 before moving back through Kildidt Sound. They set on a body of fish in the Farimile Pass area, but it was not representative. The Franciscan No.1 will be on a four day charter beginning sometime on March 27 to cover the Vector while it crew changes in Port Hardy. The gill net charter Three Girls 2 continued their sounding program in the Boddy/Joassa and Thompson Bay area, and will be heading into the Reid Passage/Powell Anchorage area today. The gill net charter Star King continued their sounding program in the Troup Passage area before moving into Spiller Channel, and will be working towards Gunboat Passage today. The CCGS Vector was in the Higgins Passage area yesterday before moving into the Mathieson Channel area. They will be departing the Central Coast for a crew change tomorrow afternoon, and will return when complete. The next spawn flight is scheduled for Tuesday, March 28. No spawn has been reported or observed in the area. Area 10 There was a herring observation flight in Smith Inlet yesterday that saw signs of fish and predators in lower Bosewll Inlet, Margaret Bay, Ethel Cove, and McBride Bay.
