North Coast Herring Update
March 17, 2017: 

Area 4 - Big Bay

Gill net fishery commences in Subareas 4-5 to 4-9 inclusive, and 4-14 at 15:00 
hours on March 17, 2017.  Please see Fishery Notice FN0228 for more details.

The overflight on March 17 saw fish in the shallows from Tree Bluff south to 
Swamp Island.  Spawn observed at Tree Bluff and along the Rock Jetties.  A gill 
net test was performed at Tree Bluff, please see results below.
