North Coast Herring Update
March 16, 2017: 

Area 4 - Big Bay

The charter vessel Nita Maria continues sounding operations today.  Significant 
bird life has been observed close to the beach, between Tree Bluff and Swamp 
Islands. The overflight observed fish in the shallows from Tree Bluff to 
Slippery Rock, and a small spot spawn at Tree Bluff. Another test is planned 
for this evening, and another overflight is scheduled for tomorrow morning.
