Opening 00:01 Hours March 15, 2017 in the following Geoduck Management Areas (GMAs). An asterisk indicates a change in area description since the last rotation: SUMMARY: PRA03, Anderson Island North PRA04, Anderson Island South PRA05, Borrowman Bay PRA06a, Kettle Inlet North PRA06b, Kettle Inlet South PRA07, Butler Shoal Variation Order No. 2017-194 in effect. The north coast fishery continues in the following GMAs: PRA01 Duckers Island PRA02 Surf Inlet PRA08 Clifford Bay North Note: See Fishery Notice No. FN0194 Bivalve Shellfish Marine Biotoxin Update, as recommended by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency and issued by DFO. Bivalve Shellfish Marine Biotoxin Updates can change at any time please confirm the required Pacific Fisheries Management Subarea is open prior to fishing. DETAILS: GMA PRA03, Anderson Island North: That portion of Subarea 6-13 north of 52 degrees 46.09 minutes north latitude and west of 129 degrees 20.15 minutes west longitude. GMA PRA04, Anderson Island South: That portion of Subarea 6-13 south of 52 degrees 46.09 minutes north latitude, and west of 129 degrees 20.15 minutes west longitude. GMA PRA05, Borrowman Bay: That portion of Subarea 6-13 north of 52 degrees 43.7 minutes north latitude (Wriglesworth Point) and east of 129 degrees 20.15 minutes west longitude. GMA PRA06a, Kettle Inlet North: That portion of Subarea 6-13 south of 52 degrees 43.7 minutes north latitude (Wriglesworth Point), north of 52 degrees 40.85 minutes north latitude, and east of 129 degrees 20.15 minutes west longitude. GMA PRA06b, Kettle Inlet South: That portion of Subarea 6-13 south of 52 degrees 40.85 minutes north latitude, north of 52 degrees 39.2 minutes north latitude (Bonson Rocks). GMA PRA07, Butler Shoal: That portion of Subarea 6-13 south of 52 degrees 39.2 minutes north latitude (Bonson Rocks) and north of 52 degrees 37.6 minutes north latitude. NOTES: South Coast areas are identified on separate Fishery Notices. See the 2017/18 Geoduck and Horse Clam Integrated Fisheries Management Plan (IFMP) for a more detailed description of the Fishing Protocol. The On-Grounds Monitor and/or Archipelago Marine Research will direct the fleet through geoduck beds and GMAs.
