FN0201-Prince Rupert District Shrimp by Trawl Fishery - 2016 Licence Extension Information


2016 Shrimp by Trawl licences expire March 31, 2017.  

Requests for Licence extension to May 31, 2017 may be submitted using the 
National Online Licensing System (NOLS).  Those Shrimp by Trawl vessel 
owners/licence eligibility holders who wish to continue fishing in the SMA PRD 
and or access Schedule II or Transporting privileges may now submit a request 
to have the licence expiry date extended.

Licence eligibility holders will use the National Online Licensing System 
(NOLS) to go online to submit the request to amend the licence, and print their 
commercial fishing licence, and amended licence conditions to extend 2016 
licence to May 31, 2017.  

Vessel owners/Licence eligibility holders may submit the required information 
via the 'Submit a Request' menu selection within the National Online Licensing 
System (NOLS). (Under 'Comments' please ensure your Shrimp Licence Eligibility, 
VRN and vessel name are identified and request 'Extension of 2016 licence to 
May 31, 2017'  Full instructions are available at:

Upon the Department receiving and approving the NOLS request, notification will 
be sent via email to advise licence eligibility holders that a change has been 
made to the licence holder's online account.  The licence document, and amended 
licence and conditions of licence will then be available to print.  
It is a condition of licence that the Licence document and conditions of 
licence are on-board while actively harvesting.
Please note licence year has been amended for Shrimp by Trawl - 2017 Shrimp by 
Trawl (S) & (FS) June 1, 2017 - May 31, 2018
