FN0196-SANITARY - Emergency Closure for oysters, Southeast of Union Bay, Baynes Sound, Subarea 14-8 which includes BC Land Registry Shellfish Aquaculture Tenure #278774.


Effective immediately there is a harvest prohibition for oysters from BC 
Aquaculture Tenure Land File #278774 in Subarea 14-8 until further notice. This 
includes the transfer of oysters to or from BC Aquaculture Tenure Land File 
#278774.  Due to potential contamination, the Pacific Region Interdepartmental 
Shellfish Committee agrees a closure is warranted for oysters at this land file 
until further notice.

The waters and intertidal foreshore of BC Land Registry aquaculture tenure # 
278774, Subarea 14-8, Southeast of Union Bay, Baynes Sound

(a) inside a line drawn from a point in water at 49°33.31' north latitude and 
124°52.21' west longitude, thence southeasterly to a point in water at 49°
33.27' north latitude and 124°52.14'west longitude, thence due south to 49°
33.18 north latitude and 124°52.14' west longitude, thence due west to 49°
33.18' north latitude and 124°52.22' west longitude, thence northerly following 
the intertidal foreshore to 49°33.28' north latitude and 124°52.28' west 
longitude, thence back to the point of commencement. [NAD83]

and

(b) inside a line drawn from a point in water at 49°33.31' north latitude and 
124°51.98' west longitude, thence easterly to a point in water at 49°33.30' 
north latitude and 124°51.90'west longitude, thence due south to 49°33.20 north 
latitude and 124°51.90' west longitude, thence due west to 49°33.20' north 
latitude and 124°51.98' west longitude, thence due north to the point of 
commencement. [NAD83]
