FN0118-SANITARY - Emergency Closure for Bivalve Shellfish West of Read Island, Hoskyn Channel, Subarea 13-13 which includes BC Land Registry Shellfish Aquaculture Tenure #354967
Effective immediately there is a harvest prohibition for all bivalve shellfish from BC Aquaculture Tenure Land File #354967, in Subarea 13-13, West of Read Island, Hoskyn Channel, until further notice. Due to potential contamination, the Pacific Region Interdepartmental Shellfish Committee agree a closure is warranted for all bivalve shellfish until further information can be obtained and assessed. Emergency Closure Area 13.nn - Aquaculture Lease Land File # 354967 The waters and intertidal foreshore of BC Land Registry aquaculture tenure # 354967, Subarea 13-13, West of Read Island, Hoskyn Channel,inside a line drawn from a point in water at 50°08.86' north latitude and 125°08.99' west longitude, thence southwesterly to a point in water at 50°08.84' north latitude and 125°09.01'west longitude, thence southeasterly to 50°08.79 north latitude and 125°08.86' west longitude, thence following the shoreline back to the point of commencement.
