Fishery Notice

A Freshwater / Land-Based Aquaculture Industry Advisory Panel meeting is being 
held April 4, 2017 at 10:00 am in Nanaimo.  The meeting will provide updates 
and opportunity to comment on various topics, including a draft assessment 
framework for crayfish aquaculture, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency 
compartment program and recent fish imports, DFO aquaculture licensing 
activities over the last year, the Province of BC's implementation of the Fish 
and Seafood Act, next steps for the Freshwater Aquaculture Association of BC, 
and the projects that were funded by the Aquaculture Collaborative Research and 
Development Program Aquaculture for this year and preparing  proposal for next 
year, and more.  

Industry is invited to make presentations.  Let us know if you'd like to 
present.
