Fishery Notice

The deadlines for roe herring Area Selection and the submission of pool lists 
have been amended as follows:

SUBMIT AREA SELECTION REQUEST FORM
-Feb 8, 2017 Seine deadline to selection Food and Bait (no change)
-Feb 14, 2017 Seine Roe Area selection (extended from Feb 8)
-Feb 14, 2017 Gill net Roe Area selection (extended from Feb 8)

(If area/gear types are over or under-subscribed, area re-selection is 
anticipated to take Feb 16, 2017, with full details to be announced by fishery 
notice). If further information regarding CC gear and catch targets is 
available prior to February 16, DFO will consult with the Herring Industry 
Advisory Board and consider adjustments to the regular rules around area 
reselection.

POOL DESIGNATION LISTS
-Feb 17, 2017 Seine (extended from Feb 15)
-Feb 17, 2017 Gill net (extended from Feb 15)

Central Coast (CC) gear and catch targets have not yet been determined. Further 
information regarding gear and catch targets, as well as area selection 
instructions for CC will be provided by Fishery Notice when it becomes 
available.

* The original "ideal" licence number for Strait of Georgia of 236 has been 
revised by the number of licences that have selected Food and Bait for that 
area. The quota for these licences has been removed from the roe quota at 61.68 
tons per licence. No licences selected Food and Bait for Prince Rupert Area, 
and the quota for this area remains the same. 

PRINT LICENCE DOCUMENTS - Once pools and quota numbers are finalised, Licence 
documents, which will include Conditions of Licence, Pool list and Quota will 
be available for printing in your NOLS account. The target date is Feb 22, 
2017. Print all of the licence documents as instructed and attach to licence.
