Fishery Notice

For the 2016/17 fishing season only, the Department is accepting catch 
reallocation requests to cover existing overages of 5AB Pacific Cod.  Existing 
overages are defined as overages that occurred on fishing trips with a landing 
date before 23:59, January 18, 2017. 

Groundfish Trawl licenced vessel owners or authorized signatory may submit a 
Request for Catch Reallocation form to reallocate existing overages, as defined 
above, of 5AB Pacific Cod catch to 5CDE.  Request for Catch Reallocation forms 
can be found on the DFO Pacific Region website at: http://www.pac.dfo-
mpo.gc.ca/fm-gp/commercial/ground-fond/contact-en.html.

All Request for Catch Reallocation forms must be received by the Groundfish 
Management Unit (GMU) no later than 4:00pm, February 20, 2017 in order to be 
processed.
