Fishery Notice

In 2015, Area B seine and Area H troll Fraser River sockeye and pink salmon 
harvest opportunities will be managed as Individual Transferable Quota (ITQ) 
demonstration fisheries. 

An Area B and Area H ITQ package is available which includes, the Area B and 
Area H Fraser Sockeye and Pink ITQ Demonstration Fishery 2015 Guidelines, 
temporary reallocation forms, designation forms, hail card, and transhipping 
forms.  The package can be obtained by contacting Christine Bukta at 250-286-
5888 or by email christine.bukta@dfo-mpo.gc.ca.  Some forms are also available 
online as shown below.

Reallocation, Designation and transhipping forms should be emailed to 
christine.bukta@dfo-mpo.gc.ca.  They will take up to 1 business day to 
process.  

Licence eligibility holders are strongly encouraged to designate a signing 
authority prior to the start of the fishery.  This designation permits someone 
else to authorize a quota transfer if the license eligibility holder is out 
fishing and is unable to complete the required transfer application.
