Fishery Notice

The Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO) is conducting a review of the 
Voluntary Salmon Troll Licence Retirement Program. As part of this process, DFO 
has contracted Nelson Bros. Fisheries Ltd. to assess the process used to retire 
salmon troll licences and to see if the Program is meeting its objectives.

A paper questionnaire has been mailed to you, for your convenience. The 
questionnaire itself should take less than 10 minutes to complete. As many of 
the questions refer to the Voluntary Salmon Troll Licence Retirement 
Application Package, a sample of the Application Package is included with the 
survey mailed to you, to assist you in answering the questions.

Some Troll vessel owners have indicated that they experienced an error message 
when linking to the online Survey Monkey questionnaire.  The issue has now been 
rectified.  Please use the address below should you prefer to complete the 
questionnaire online.

We encourage you to complete the online version of the survey.

Additionally, please note that the deadline for submission of the questionnaire 
has now been extended. To participate in the Review, your response should be 
submitted by June 12th, 2015.
