Test sets have been completed in the Horseshoe, off the scallop farm and Neck 
point.  Results are not yet available with the exception of Neck point which 
was 6.7%

The seine fishery opened yesterday at 12:00 in area 14-15 off the Scallop 
farm.  The total estimated catch for the seine fishery yesterday was 105 tons.

The gillnet fishery opened March 2 at 12:00 hours in portions of Areas 14 and 
17 and remains open until further notice.  Catch to this morning is estimated 
at approximately 10,000 tons.

The next flight will be departing Campbell River this afternoon.

The Canadian Forces Maritime Experimental and Test Ranges exercise area Whiskey 
Golf in central Georgia Strait will be closed to all vessel traffic on Tuesday 
March 6th and Wednesday March 7th from 0700 to 1700.  Listen to the marine 
broadcast on VHF 16 and Weather Channels 1&3 for updates.  Contact Winchelsea 
Island Control on VHF 10 for further information.
