TOTAL STRAIT OF GEORGIA: Assessment incomplete.

The DFO charter test vessel Denman Isle commenced the sample and assessment 
program in the Strait of Georgia on Feb 20, and has been assessing from Cape 
Lazo to Oyster River last night and this morning. 

The herring industry test vessel Viking Cavalier started assessment Feb 22 and 
is assessing East Coast of Denman Island today and will stand down until roe 
maturity increases in a few days. The fish in this area are primarily in the 
Horseshoe and no longer along Komas Bluff. The management vessel CCGC 
Neocaligus is assessing Baynes Sound areas. 

There is no spawn overflight scheduled for the next several days.
