Central Coast Bulletin #24 March 27, 2016: The commercial seine fishery is complete as of last night, and achieved their quota with a hailed catch of 234 tons. The commercial roe seine fishery is closed for the balance of the season. The test boat F/V Proud Canadian was in the Stryker Island area yesterday, and will be proceeding through the Kildidt Sound area today before moving onto Nalau Passage. The gill net charter F/V Lagoon Bay sounded in the Moss Pass and Powell Anchorage area yesterday. This was the last day of their charter. The charter vessel F/V Three Girls II was in the Gunboat Pass area before heading through Boddy/Joassa and onto Stryker Island area. They will be proceeding southwards into the Kildidt Sound area. The F/V Star King was in the Outer Seaforth channel area before moving into Spiller Channel. They will be heading into Gunboat Pass to investigate a reported spot spawn, before heading into Troup/Return. The CCGS Vector is proceeding to the Bella Bella area today. The next scheduled spawn flight will be later today.
