The seine fishery was active near Chrome Island today with 300 tons caught, and one small set kept near Nanaimo. The hailed and validated catch for the seine fishery is approximately 7,000 tons of the 15,440 ton quota. For the gillnet fishery the estimated gillnet catch is approx 2,700 tons of the 13,975 ton quota.
