FN1222-Herring Food and Bait 2014/2015 Licence Issuance - Category ZM
Licence Issuance for 2014/2015 Food and Bait Herring commences at 12:00 hours Friday November 7 2014. The process will be as follows: 1) Registration in NOLS: If not already done, licence eligibility holders are required to activate their NOLS account by registering and using the 'Passcode' that was previously provided to them in the mail in August 2013. If they choose to do so, eligibility holders may designate a representative in the NOLS who may access the system on their behalf. If you require assistance with this process please call 1-877-535-7307. 2) Provide required information: Eligible ZM Licence Holders must first i) designate the catcher vessel, and ii) provide the vessel master e-mail address by logging into their NOLS account and navigating to and selecting: - Submit Request; - Select the Party Account that holds the ZM licence eligibilities; - Select the request type: Vessel Transactions - Select the sub-request type: Attach/detach licence to/from Vessel; - Under the banner of Requestor Info: Select one or more ZM licence(s) by clicking in the check-box for that licence; - Scroll down to the Comments box and type in: ------- a) Designated Vessel: MV Any Vessel Name, VRN 123456 ------- b) Vessel Master email address [Note that Area defaults to SOG-Strait of Georgia, except for 10 that have selected PRD-Prince Rupert District in the Area Selection process.] - Scroll down towards the bottom of the page and select 'Submit'; - Fisheries and Oceans Canada will receive your request and data enter the information provided and mark the status of your request as 'DFO Approved - Pending Payment'; - You may review the status of your request at any time by navigating to and selecting 'Request Status'; - please note that requests and responses are time-stamped in Eastern Standard Time (3 hours ahead of Pacific Standard Time) because this is a national licensing system used across the country. Reminders - the designated vessels: i) may be designated with multiple ZM licences ii) must be a Canadian (Department of Transport) registered vessel iii) is required by Transport Canada to have a valid Stability booklet iv) may be re-designated prior to licence issuance For further information on the National Online Licensing System and step by step instructions: http://www.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/FM-GP/SDC-CPS/licence-permis-eng.htm 3) Pay licence fees in NOLS: Fisheries and Oceans Canada has loaded the $30 ZM licence fee to the NOLS account for ZM licence eligibility holders for payment - please select the 'Pay Fees' section to see the fee for ZM category licences. 4) Receive Licence Documents: Once our office has received the request showing the designated vessel and vessel master email address, as well as the licence fee via NOLS, the licence will be processed and documents sent to your NOLS account. These may be printed from the 'Print Documents' section. Licences are not valid without the licence conditions attached and on the vessel.
